Working principle of hydraulic locknuts

Hydraulic locknuts ensure the stability of the threaded connection by providing a uniform and powerful thrust through the hydraulic system. The principle of operation is that the pressure ring is hydraulically actuated so that it presses against the bushing and the plunger is pressed in by the adjusting screw, thus clamping the workpiece. The amount of clamping force is directly indicated by a pressure measuring rod.
