Hydraulic tensioning cylinder is a device that uses hydraulic system to apply external force to bolts, and its working principle is to apply external force to bolts directly through hydraulic cylinder, so that the bolts will be elongated within their elastic deformation range, thus loosening the nuts. Specifically, the hydraulic tensioner assembly consists of a hydraulic bolt tensioner, a manual pump (or electric pump) and an ultra-high pressure hose. When the hydraulic oil enters the cylinder, the piston is pushed and moves outward, and this push is transmitted through the bolt, causing the bolt to undergo a slight deformation, and the nut is thus easily loosened.

Working Principle of Hydraulic Tension Cylinder

Hydraulic tensioner uses the pressure of the liquid to push the piston to move, so as to achieve the tension of the bolt. When the pressure oil enters from the rodless cavity, the cylinder with the largest effective area of the piston starts to extend, and as the stroke advances, the cylinder with the second largest effective area of the piston extends in turn until the required stretch is reached. This sequence from large to small outstretched in order to obtain a longer working stroke, and the smaller the effective area of the cylinder barrel of the outstretched, the faster the outstretched speed.
