Introduction to self-locking hydraulic jacks

Self-locking hydraulic jacks are mainly used in occasions where heavy loads need to be borne for a long time, and when the hydraulic pressure is withdrawn, they can still support heavy loads, safely and reliably.
The design of self-locking jack is a perfect combination of hydraulic principle and mechanical principle, there are threads in the piston rod throughout the entire range of travel, after full jacking, rotate the retaining ring until it is against the cylinder, the retaining ring and the cylinder is under force, you can unload the oil pump, to achieve the jack’s self-locking, so as to achieve the long term support of the weight. How the Self-Locking Hydraulic Cylinder works

The rod-piston group is composed of a floating piston and high-resistance floating sectors. When the rod-extended motion begins, the sectors stay closed until they meet with a groove machined on the inside of the body. At this point, the cone-section shaped piston will expand the sectors, which will fill up the space between the piston and the body, firmly locking it in the rod-extended position. Any force vector coming from the molded material will be relieved through the sectors and along the reinforced body, thanks to the accurately engineered angles among the components. Everything can be kept in place with a minimum pressure inside of the chamber. When it’s time to unlock the cylinder, the oil getting inside of the cylidner pushes the piston downwards, giving room for the sectors to collapse back to their original position. The rod will then be free to retract, completing the cycle.

The use of self-locking hydraulic jack.

6, When using, first connect the quick connector of the manual oil pump, then choose a good position, tighten the oil drain screw on the oil pump, you can work. To drop the piston rod, the manual oil pump handwheel counterclockwise slightly loosened, the cylinder unloading, the piston rod gradually decline. Otherwise, it will be dangerous to descend too fast.
7, After the lifting is finished, it can be taken out quickly, but you can’t pull the self-locking jack with the connected hose.
8, The self-locking hydraulic jack should be prevented from violent vibration during use.
9, The self-locking jack should not be used in workplaces with acid, alkali and corrosive gases.
