SL-HS Two-stage Bolt Tensioners

Two-stage Bolt Tensioners is a hydraulic tool mainly used for tightening and removing bolts. It is supplied with a hydraulic source through a hydraulic pump and uses the tensile force generated by the ultra-high pressure oil pump to elongate the bolt within the elastic deformation zone so that the nut can be easily loosened. Bolt tensioners are widely used in a number of fields, including petrochemical, nuclear, wind, hydropower, thermal power, marine, railway, aerospace, mining and heavy machinery. Tensile force range: 200-6640KN. Applicable bolts: M20-M160. Maximum working pressure: 150MPa 1500Bar.

Flange bolt tightening sequence and procedure

SOLY hydraulic bolt tensioner is the fastest, safest and most accurate way to apply the pre-set residual load to the bolt.
The single simultaneous operation of multiple hydraulic bolt tensioners can easily complete a precise and pre-set bolt load, so that the flange gasket is evenly stressed and compressed, which is important for tightening the bolted connections in critical areas.
The ideal operation is to stretch all the bolts on the flange connection at the same time [ 100% ], however, 50%, 33% or even 25% at the same time is also possible. This requires the operator to stretch the bolts in exactly the opposite direction in two, three or four times in sequence. Partial tensioning takes a little longer to complete the job, and the user has the discretion to choose between the cost of the equipment and the time spent.
SOLY hydraulic bolt tensioner is a device designed for direct tensioning of bolts. A hydraulic cylinder and thread tensioning head are used to apply a pre-set load on the bolt. A pre-set load is applied to the bolt. After the threads of the bolt have been stretched, the nut is turned downward with a draw bar until it is tightly pressed against the flange connection surface. The hydraulic pressure [load] is released and the tension [remaining load] is retained within the tensioned length of the bolt, and the tightened nut prevents the bolt from returning to its original length.
For safe operation of the hydraulic bolt tensioner, the part of the bolt thread above the nut needs to be at least one bolt diameter long. This facilitates the bolt tensioner to be placed on the equipment.
It is quick and easy to put the hydraulic bolt tensioner on the bolt. It is quick and easy to put on the bolt, just keep the bolt and nut well cleaned and lubricated.
Accurately calculate the correct load to be applied to the bolt to ensure accurate residual load transfer to the bolt. Either use 100%, 50%, 33% or 25% simultaneous stretching procedure.
Note: If there is not enough space on one side of the flange to put down all the bolt tensioners to complete the 100% stretching procedure, the bolt tensioners can be put on the other side of the flange.
